“Petersburg. Only for Love” consists of seven stories, made by women directors, about the most beautiful city in Russia. The fi lm-almanac was written in a special, gentle handwriting and tells about Petersburg not as a mythical, but real, alive and visible. The almanac gathers seven unique female voices: Avdotia Smirnova, Renata Litvinova, Anna Parmas, Oksana Bychkova, Aksinia Gog, Natalia Nazarova, Natalia Kudryashova; each of them tells a story about love and loneliness, accidents and hope; and the heroes and plots of these stories make us remember the delicate Leningrad cinema when the Lenfi lm emblem, the Bronze Horseman, at the beginning of the screening would promise the spectator not only a clever, but also a human fi lm.
