An enterprising broker has rented a small house by the sea to several families at once. So, by will of fate, several women with their children are destined to sail in one “ark”, “to fl oat on the waves of life”. After some eccentric,
ridiculous and less funny events, and after sorting out attitudes, it turns out
that they may understand each other, but the return of the landlord from
a sea journey, not suspecting that his friend the key-keeper has rented out
the house, disturbs the almost Chekhovian atmosphere.
