YOUNG CINEMA: NEW SONGS ABOUT THE MAIN THING?
Round table organized by the of the magazine Iskusstvo Kino (Art of Cinema)
A number of remarkable debuts, both in feature and short format, by young filmmakers have been discovered at "Kinotavr" and subsequently become favourites at many Russian and international festivals: this trend highlights the arrival of a new generation in domestic cinema. In this context, a discussion of the following topic would appear urgent: which current issues are considered important and worthy of artistic attention by debutant filmmakers? What heroes are offered for identification? What are the aesthetic predilections? What are the perspectives of newcomers to the profession? We hope to invite to this discussion both active participants of the film process and independent observers.

THE FIVE SCREENS OF A SPECTATOR: CINEMA IN THE CONTEXT OF COMPETION
The structure of information consumption has changed considerably over the last ten years. The modern spectator is surrounded by visual content and got used to it: he watches a film while corresponding with friends via smartphone; he watches a television serial and simultaneously looks up information on the actors in the show on the Internet. How does the film industry deal with these new specificities of the spectator? What will the multi-platform content look like in the future? How does modern story-telling change, and how does cinema gradually use the opportunities of its partners, such as the Internet, the game industries and television serials? We try to find answers to these questions and discuss different structures of film- and video consumption with people who actually shape the industry of visual content: producers, heads of large Internet portals, founders of trans-media strategy of television channels and distribution companies.

PRINCIPAL TEXTS OF RUSSIAN LITERATURE. PROBLEMS OF SCREEN ADAPTATION
Adaptations of classical literary texts for cinema and theatre pose a problem today, which is in many respects a political one. But even if we look purely at the relationship between text and film, outside the paradigm of today's public doctrines, many questions arise. There is an obvious desire of many spectators to see texts that have become part of our cultural code translated onto the screen in a predictable, habitual language. Is it possible to engage these spectators in a different way? In fact, the modernisation of the classics only highlights their greatness and eternal validity, revealing the topicality of plots and characters for us today. How does the departure from the letter of the classical text in film adaptations influence their perception?
